West Toronto Community Legal Services (WTCLS) provides advice, brief services, and representation in the following areas:
- Income assistance, including:
- Ontario Works (OW)
- Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
- Canada Pension Plan (CPP)
- Old Age Security (OAS) and
- Employment Insurance (EI)
- Housing, including preventing eviction and assisting tenants with basic rights
- Workers’ rights, including employment standards, wrongful dismissal, and human rights
- Immigration law, including sponsorship applications and humanitarian & compassionate applications
- Commissioning or notarizing affidavits and other documents
- Health and disability
We don’t practice in the following areas of law but we can provide you with a referral to another service provider
- Abuse and Family Violence
- Criminal Law
- Debt and Consumer Rights
- Family Law
- Some Human Rights matters
- Refugee Law
- Civil law and contracts
