West Toronto Community Legal Services (WTCLS) provides legal services in the following areas:

• Income assistance, including:
  • Ontario Works (OW)
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
  • Canada Pension Plan (CPP)
  • Old Age Security (OAS) and
  • Employment Insurance (EI)
• Housing, including preventing eviction and assisting tenants with basic rights
• Workers’ rights, including employment standards, wrongful dismissal, and human rights
• Immigration law, including sponsorship applications and humanitarian & compassionate applications
• Commissioning or notarizing affidavits and other documents
• Health and disability

Please note that owing to strong demand, we primarily provide legal advice. We are not able to provide representation in most cases.

We don’t practice in the following areas of law but we can provide you with a referral to another service provider

• Criminal Law
• Debt and Consumer Rights
• Family Law
• Some Human Rights matters
• Refugee Law
• Civil law and contracts
• Wills and Estates
